FAQ
Have questions? Look here....
Where do we go?
Our Captain's choose the Snorkel and SCUBA spots daily.
We pick the spots with the best conditions for each day, based upon weather and ocean conditions. Other tours go to the same destinations every day, we don't because we want you to have the best experience that you could have on each day.
Our daily destinations may include:
Lanai - Sweet Heart Rock, Shark Fin, Menele Bay, Dino, Fish Rock, Kampachi Caves, First and Second Cathedral, Club Lanai, Shipwrecks, The Spires and other locations.
Maui: Honolua Bay, Cliff House, Coral Gardens, Olowalu, Shark Pit, Black Rock, Mala Pier, Carthgenian, and other locations.
Molokai: We only visit Molokai on Private Tours and on perfect weather days.
Safety First
U.S. Coast Guard Approved
Our boats and crew are USCG inspected and certified for safety. Our dive team has thousands of dives in Maui waters and are certified instructors and dive masters. We carry Oxygen kits on the boats for emergencies.
What to Bring
Bring your smiles
Reef-safe sunscreen (not the aerosol spray kind), towels, sunglasses and hats. You can bring your own snorkel and dive gear if you want or you can use ours (it's all new Cressi brand gear). You can also bring snacks and drinks if you like. Be sure to bring a camera too!
What not to Bring
Spray Sunscreen and....
Tobacco products, and anything that you don't want to get wet.
Lunch, Drinks and Snacks
We can't let you go thirsty
On our snorkel and dive adventures, we offer a selection of Lunch, fresh local fruits, water and various softdrinks. On our shorter adventures, such as Whale Watches, we offer water and softdrinks. You may BYOB.
On the "Whale of a Sunset" charter we serve a select Charcuterie assortment. Be sure to bring your own Champagne for the sunset toast!
Our food menu’s are available under the “food” section.
Can I hear the Whale Songs?
Yes! (only during the Winter Whale Season)
Thanks to our state of the art audio system, we pick up and underwater whale songs and play them through the boats crystal clear JL audio system. The experience is one you will never forget.
Will we see dolphins?
There's a good chance!
Maui county is home to thousands of dolphins among three major types, Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, Spotted Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins. We see them on our snorkel tours about 75% of the time. They occasionally will even join in the snorkel tour and swim with guests.
About Shoes...
Barefoot Tours!
We collect your shoes on our welcome mat before boarding. They will be kept safe and dry. Our vessels all have soft padded decks for your comfort and better traction when wet.
It's Hawaiian tradition to remove your shoes before entering a house.
It's boating tradition to remove your shoes before pleasure boating!
This helps keep our soft decking in top shape and keeps the boat nice and clean.
About the Weather...
Don’t call us….we’ll call you.
We suggest you spend your time on Maui enjoying it's beauty and leave worrying about the weather to us! Maui has EVERY climate on earth and extreme micro-climates. One of these climates is..... Tropical Rain Forrest! So, it rains every day somewhere on Maui, but not where we go to play on the water.
Your weather app on your phone is pretty much useless here. If there's an issue with the weather for the time of your trip we will contact you as soon as possible. Please make sure to use a good mobile phone number for calls and texts from us about your trip.
If you must keep up with the weather while on your vacation, we suggest you use an app called Windy and you must use the "NAM" model for accuracy in Hawaii.
How crowded are your tours?
Personalized hospitality with Aloha!
Our vessels are USCG certified to carry 26 passengers plus crew, but we only operate VIP tours in order to provide the best experience possible, so we limit our tours to a maximum of 12 passengers, with the exception of our private tours in which case we recommend a maximum of 15 people.
We want you to experience the best in personalized aloha and and we refuse to pack our boats full. On our snorkel tours, we often have three crew members so our crew to passenger ratio is the highest you will find. Our team really shines when it comes to personal interaction and they love to share their local knowledge, both above and below the water!
Share some Aloha!
